After earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering from NC Statein 1989, I began my sales career with Westinghouse Electric. In 1994, I transitioned to General Electric, where I continuedin sales and later moved to the company’s headquarters in Plainville, CT. During my time at GE, I gained valuable experience as a Pricing Manager for the Components Team, and eventually joined the Global Accounts Team with a focus on emerging data and communications technologies.After earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering from NC State in 1989, I began my sales career with Westinghouse Electric. Doug Robbins
Inside Sales Manager
Doug Robbins has a wealth of experience in the electrical supplies industry, beginning his career in 1985 with Interstate Electric right out of school. Starting from the ground up, Doug worked his way through various roles within the company, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the business before moving into management. In 1990, Doug transitioned to Wesco, a subsidiary of Westinghouse, where he joined the inside sales team and first met Troy Lenderking.
Doug further honed his expertise at Control Corporation of America, where he spent nine years in inside sales, continuing to build on his knowledge of the electrical supply industry. In 2004, Doug became the first employee at Blue Mountain Sales, playing a key role in the company's formation and growth. As Inside Sales Manager, Doug is the cornerstone of Blue Mountain Sales' operations, known for his hands-on approach as the "chief fixer" and problem solver. Doug works closely with both the sales team and clients to ensure that materials are delivered on time, within specifications, and that every client experience is seamless. His deep industry knowledge, commitment to excellence, and problem-solving abilities make him an invaluable asset to both Blue Mountain Sales and its clients.
